Originating Order of the Constitution
Order:
God → Love → Constitutional Order
The Law of Love is the foundational principle that originates from the nature of God Himself. In the biblical worldview, love is not merely an emotion or moral suggestion; it is the very character of God and the governing principle of His creation. Because God is love, every righteous order—spiritual, moral, or constitutional—must flow from this divine nature.
The Bible clearly establishes that love begins with God.
“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”
— First Epistle of John 4:8
This verse reveals that love is not simply something God practices; it is His essence. Therefore, the structure of any righteous order must begin with God and proceed through love.
God as the Source
God stands as the ultimate authority and source of all law and order. His will establishes the moral framework by which creation functions.
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”
— Book of Genesis 1:1
Because God is the creator and sovereign ruler, every legitimate constitution or system of governance must acknowledge that authority originates from Him.
Love as the Governing Principle
Jesus Christ summarized the entire law and moral order in terms of love. Love is the highest commandment because it reflects God's own nature.
“Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”
— Gospel of Matthew 22:37–39
Christ then explains that all laws depend upon these two commands:
“On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”
— Gospel of Matthew 22:40
Thus, love functions as the constitutional framework of God's moral government.
Love Produces Order
When love governs human relationships and institutions, it naturally produces justice, peace, and harmony. The Apostle Paul emphasizes that love fulfills the purpose of law.
“Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.”
— Epistle to the Romans 13:10
Here the Bible shows that the ultimate aim of law is not merely regulation but the protection of loving relationships within society.
The Constitutional Order of Creation
From the biblical perspective, the order can be understood as:
God – the sovereign source of authority.
Love – the expression of God’s nature and the guiding principle of His commands.
Constitutional Order – the structured system of laws and relationships that arise when love governs life.
When this order is preserved, society reflects the harmony God intended for creation.
“And above all these things put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.”
— Epistle to the Colossians 3:14
Conclusion
The Law of Love stands at the beginning of all rightful governance. Because God is love, any constitutional or moral order that seeks justice and harmony must flow from this divine principle. When humanity aligns with God’s nature of love, the result is a society built on righteousness, unity, and peace—the intended harmony of creation.
