Healing of Peter’s Mother-in-Law (Matthew
8:14–15)
This scene shows Jesus entering Peter’s house
and finding his mother-in-law lying sick with a fever. With compassion and
authority, Jesus gently touches her hand, and instantly the fever leaves her.
She rises and begins to serve them, symbolising not only physical healing but
also restoration to purpose and service.
The moment reflects:
Jesus’ power over illness
His personal care and compassion
Immediate and complete healing
It is a powerful reminder that even the
simplest touch from Christ brings transformation, renewal, and strength.
